I know this topic has been addressed in a few other threads, but no answers have come out of any of them except for "you must be stupid, don't change the formatting" or "help is on the way"

These words: 'dfdfdfvdbbggf' always appear when I open a new Word document. How do I stop them from appearing everytime I start a new Word document? Please help, it's driving me nuts.

im new to word 2008, upgraded from word x.
one of the new features (not sure if its new in 2008 or was new in
2004) is these buttons that pop up in the document (they kind of look
like a toolbar button) when you do certain things.
