I have recently migrated from MSW2004 to MSW2008. In the upgrade process, my existing custom dictionary has been transferred into the User>Library>Preferences>Microsoft>Office 2008 folder.

Out of interest I thought I'd try the translation function. This is a bit confusing. There are two - a bilingual dictionary and a translation facility that seems to work through the web. The dictionary works fine. The translation facility tells me 'Office cannot connect to the internet'
