So I use the full width when creating documents in Word 2008 with the Wrap to Window option activated. Recently I've noticed that Word adds a space at the end of a line when none was there. If I type this The boy ran down the hill.

Ever since I installed Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard), some of the symbol/notation used in Equation Editor/MathType will not show properly on Word (X or 2004), such as the 'hat' and the 'tilde'.
Can you advise how to fix the problem?
