Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) I have just converted from Windows Word. I am used to using a very handy function in page setup that allows you to break up an A4 document into 2 A5 sections, and then print as a booklet.

Until yesterday, all I had to do was double click on a document in a folder or an email attachment. Now that does not work.

In Word v2008 why are the formatting palette and toolbars so limited in Notebook view?
For example, there is no formatting painter available nor is there the ability to show/hide invisible characters in this view; I need to return to one of the other views, then use these features,
