WORD 2008 keeps freezing when I do "Save As" for a document. This happen both on my iMac and my G5. Any suggestions?

I have a white MacBook running on OS X 10.4.11 with the current
version of Word 12.0.1 (080305) installed on it.
The dictionary does not work. At best, I can only get SYNONYMS of
words. When I go to Look up: the 3 options there thus Definition;
