WORD 2008 keeps freezing when I do "Save As" for a document. This happen both on my iMac and my G5. Any suggestions?

I have a white MacBook running on OS X 10.4.11 with the current version of Word 12.0.1 (080305) installed on it. The dictionary does not work. At best, I can only get SYNONYMS of words. When I go to Look up: the 3 options there thus Definition;

I copied something from my brother's blog to an email and the font he uses looks a bit "faded." I was able to get the font I prefer back but the shade is still dim. What do I do? I tried "mail" help. No luck.

I use Mac 10.4.11 and would like to know how to create a mail merge with Word for Mac and Entourage (would Apple's Address Book be better?). I can do it easily at work on the PC with Word and Outlook but it's not as intuitive on the Mac. Many thanks!
