I've just noticed that Spotlight doesn't seem to be very good at looking into .docx files. (Finds some things, misses others.) Has anyone else had any problems with this? Is this a known issue?

I tried adding the Spell Recheck button to the Quick Access Toolbar but it
does nothing. If I close the document and reopen it, it will find the items I
had marked to ignore but I want the Recheck to work right away. It does work
if I go into the Word Options and do it but not if ...

WORD 2003 automatically capitalises the first word of a sentence, how do I make Word 2008 do the same thing?

I am a recent convertee to Office for Mac 2008 from Word 2002 for Windows. I am still getting acquainted, but early returns are positive.

When I create a Word file and try to print it, the type doesn't show
up, except for the horizontal lines I created by hitting three
consecutive hyphens to create a section break. Same with a PDF I
create out of the Word doc. And regardless of the printer. Word files

I am trying to convert a Word 2007 document to a fully functional PDF file,
however, whenever I do so, no bookmarks and no links are generated. I have
tried just about every setting there is, but to no avail. I am running Office
2007 on an XP system and I am using Acrobat 8.1.2. ...

I have a list of people I am trying to create labels for mailing; however,
once into the wizard it asks me if I want to create a list or use one, so I
create.  
My questions is, how do I insert those addresses into the labels for

Everytime I open a new document in word it automatically uses landscape mode and I have to manually change to portrait. How do I change it back so that it automatically does portrait not landscape?

My girlfriend has a Word document that gives the spinning beach ball in Word
2008 when the one picture she has inside it is deleted. I can reproduce this
every time and it also happens after the 12.0.1 update.
Yesterday (before I applied the patch) the beach ball even "spread" to ...

Word crashes constantly on my Power Mac G5, which has 5.5GB RAM yet is perfectly fine on my MacBook Pro. Is there an issue with Word and memoery amounts over 4GB?

Where is the default folder and database for the bibliography in word 2008.

Is anyone having compatibility problems with Microsoft Office 2004 and Leopard with regard to printing Microsoft documents?
Will upgrading to Office 2008 solve the problem?

I don't have a problem with mail merge of 'mailing address' on the labels ... but don't know how to do the return address. Can you help? Thanks.
