When I open up a previoously saved document, the first letter in some of the words has changed. Like December is noe Xember. November is now Povember.

The same document under 2004 renders properly on the same computer. In 2008, there are squares for many chinese characters.

I am a Spanish major and I need to do all my assignments on Word. But once I
start typing in Spanish, Word automatically closes and I lose all my work.

I have removed the Font Cache Tool since Office 2004. Office 2008 hid
it a bit better, but I still found it, removed it and now startup is a
tad faster - but still way slower than, say, Photoshop CS3 or even the
notoriously slow starter Illustrator CS3.

I was modifying the toolbar. I accidently removed the view menu and now cannot find how to get the menu toolbar back to normal.

So far, I am quite disappointed with Office 2008. Word and Excel crash repeatedly. The program acts like a beta.
