I use the replace dialog to find a font and replace it with a formatting style (say, Subhead).

In office 2007 for windows you can view two documents side by side and when in this view mode the scroll on either side controls both windows at once. Is this possible in word for mac 2008?

There was a feature in Office 2004 where you could double clip an inserted clipart and you could edit it by deleting parts of the picture you did want.  An example would be a clipart frame with a family in it and you could delete out the family and just have the frame.  It doesn't

Anybody figured out how to suppress blank lines during a mail merge in word 2008? I can't find the option anywhere other than the if...then...else placeholder, which doesn't help as far as I can tell.

Is there a way to center SmartArt between the margins? I've looked everywhere I can think of, but nothing wants to make the whole SmartArt object center on the margins.

All of a sudden Word 2008 is using English (AUS) as the default language
- and not because of anything I did.

I just installed Office for Mac 2008. In Word, when I open an existing document, after the filename it shows "[Compatibility Mode]" What is this and is there something I'm supposed to do to get to a "regular mode"? Thanks.

I notice when I format text it applies to the whole paragraph. In the past I could hilight the text I wanted to format.
