| Comment bubbles vanishing in Word for Windows | 07 Feb 2008 09:30 GMT | 1 |
I'm using Mac Word 2008, and use the track-changes and commenting features extensively. When I exchange documents with Windows users (specifically Word 2002 SP3) we've discovered that accepting all changes in a document and then saving it in Windows makes some comment bubbles disappear,

I can't seem to figure out how to permanently change the font default. No matter what I try, every new Word document I open up opens with Cambria as the font. Any tips?

| Bottom margin changes to 3.5cm when printing in Word 2008 | 07 Feb 2008 09:23 GMT | 5 |
I've tried publishing layout, creating sections and changing every margin/footer setting I can think of to no avail. My printer is capable of borderless printing but Word 2008 insists on leaving an ugly 3.5cm of white space at the bottom of the printed page even though my bottom margin

| Proper Names pop up while typing | 06 Feb 2008 23:38 GMT | 2 |
Using Word 2004, as I type a name, a little yellow box will appear with the full name, as if guessing that this is what I want to type. If I pause and hit return, the whole name is typed in. Aside from guessing wrong and being visually distrcting, how do I turn off this annoying "feature?

I've been using Microsoft Word 2004 on my Intel Mac (Tiger) for months. Everything was fine and I had a custom dictionary set up. Everything I do is in English and I haven't messed with the language settings or anything else. All of a sudden, when spell checking, it says "Custom ...

I installed 2008 easily enough but must have selected an incorrect option for Entourage. I use comcast and have some messages on that server. The new Entourage transferred all existing folders and messages plus created a new main account. That account is receiving new messages plus

| All incoming Word docs download as .doc.dot | 06 Feb 2008 17:49 GMT | 2 |
Just upgraded to Word 2008 for Mac. Here is the second of my bizarre problems: All incoming documents saved by clients as .doc (in older versions of Word) are downloaded as .doc.dot
I understand these are templates. But they were not saved as templates by the sender, and I have

Hi all,
I am mail merging into Avery 3263 Post Cards. I have the addresses on the post cards now and that part is fine.
My question is:
Can I add graphics and formatting to the post cards?
I added a picture, but it refuses to align itself toward the top where I want it

| Word 2004 on Leopard | 06 Feb 2008 12:51 GMT | 2 |
I can¹t seem to get the tool bars to line up properly in Word 2004. When I go to Customize Toolbars¹ there are lots of options to check, but when I check them each one comes up separately and sits wherever it comes up on the screen...when I move it to the top where the other stuff ...

| Not selecting entire words automatically | 06 Feb 2008 11:16 GMT | 1 |
In a previous version of Word, under Tools, Options, Edit, there was the option to turn OFF "When selecting, automatically select entire word." This meant you could select more accurately and get rid of the pesky extra spaces that come in when you paste. I can't find it in the new
