| Status Bar | 08 Feb 2008 14:09 GMT | 3 |
My old version of Word not only showed the page and how many words in the document, it also showed the number of the LINE I was on for each page. I am a novelist and format my manuscripts to be 25 lines per page and I used to be able to see what line number I was on for a given page.

| Headers printing incorrectly | 08 Feb 2008 14:05 GMT | 1 |
When I print out a word doc with a picture inserted into the header, it prints out ghosted - ie as if the transparency is set on, which it isn't. This is not consistent from one computer to the next - from some it prints correctly. Any ideas? I am working in word for mac 2004

A user here has Word 2007 with all the latest updates. When she opens a file with an image insert (like a company logo) the image does not appear. When she prints, the image prints out fine. We are running Windosw XP sp2. Searching the web I see this error for Word 2003.

I'm simply using files on my local drive. Everything else works fine.

| Word 2008 - sluggish typing | 08 Feb 2008 11:42 GMT | 1 |
OK, Word 2004 was amazingly fast and responsive. Word 2008, by contrast seems sluggish. When I'm typing, there is a slight delay between hitting the key and the onscreen letters responding. Very maddening. Does anyone know what's up with this?

Hello,
This may sound like a silly question, but...whenever I open word, the toolbars seem to cover the very top of my open word documents...just enough so that I can not drag to document around. Is there any way to fix this? Does this make any sense? Thanks.

| Copy and paste text with bullets or outline numbered between Word and Power point | 08 Feb 2008 10:28 GMT | 1 |
Back in the days when I used a PC (which was last week), I could copy and paste bulleted text from the outline of a Powerpoint presentation and copy it into a Word document without losing formatting. As a student, I copy hundreds of lines from a Powerpoint outline into a Word document

| Missing cursor | 08 Feb 2008 04:32 GMT | 2 |
I just installed Office 2008. I am using Word, and the cursor seems to disappear. I click on a location in the text and type, the text appears, but the cursor is gone, which makes it very tough to select a specific spot in the text.
I have tried resizing, changing fonts, reducing
