Cannot get Word to run. After about 5 seconds, it crashes. Have reinstalled
several times, trashed all .pslist files, preference files/folders, etc. Have
done everything short of creating a new user in OSX. Entourage and Excel work
fine. Know others have had problems but have not ...

I still trying to get my head around this.
ON a previous thread, some people gave some good tips, but I still don't get

Can you set up Word so a new document doesn't automatically open when you launch it? In the previous version, only the toolbars would appear at the top. A blank document would only open if I clicked the "Open" button. How can I set up Word 2008 to do that?

I am a writer and like to hear my work for corrections on my ipod when I am walking. Would like to know how to convert text to audio then transfer to ipod.

Hi: I would like to have the items in the "open file" window arranged so that folders appear first and documents follow. Currently all documents and folders appear alphabetically with folders and documents mixed together (quite confusing). Any advice?
