I'd like to reset my default font in Word 2008 to Optima but can't seem to figure it out. can anyone help? Thanks!

I'm trying to do a spelling check in a document in spanish, which I was always able to do with the previous versions of word, but can't seem to doit. Any suggestions?

I'm a working writer. I'm having a serious issue with Word 2008 that is preventing me from using the program.

When I import a document from Scrivener or Nisus Writer Pro that is supposed to have a left justified margin, I'm getting BOTH a right & a left margin justification

I am using Office 2004 11.3.8. If I type and then highlight and choose "bold," "italic," change the font or font size, etc., it does it to the whole document. I have gone to Tools - Autocorrect -and have turned off all the automatic formating but it still happens. This is driving

Did the new math feature from Windows Word 2007 make it into 2008 Mac? If not, is the Equation Editor essentially the same?

How do I delete the menu that says, "Document Elements", "quick tables", etc ? Is there a way or am I stuck with it? I've only had Office 2008 a few days so I am probably missing something obvious? Thanks for any help.

I am using office xp , recently I have a typing problem  , when I am
typing a word that some letters of that is incorrect, I select the
wrong part of word and then I am typing the correct letters, but the
wrong part of word don't delete ! and the correct letters are typing

I just switched to Word2008 from the 2004 version, and the old Command+Tilde doesn't work for toggling between open Word application documents.

Has anyone suffered the same? Solutions? Thanks in advance.

Are there max dimensions for a word document?
I was hoping to use layout mode to create a poster for a scientific conference, but I can't seem to make any dimensions larger than 24"

I am creating a consent form for my pupils and I was wondering if their is a way I can add their names into the forms automatically if I have their name list in softcopy? I have about 80 pupils.

Suddenly, after years of using Word without problems, Word crashes as soon as I go to use bullets & numbering. In other words:
I type: 1. + text etc. then click return to get to a new line and 2. = instant crash.

I find it stupefyingly infuriating that there is no longer a manual for Word
written so that someone who might like to learn about a topic could possibly
read it.

It was so very easy in 2004. You had two little icons in the header and
footer dialogs. You clicked, and you got a page number inserted as a
character that could be formatted and placed like any other character or
paragraph.
