I have a Mac with Microsoft Office 2008 and I am having difficulty opening my Microsoft Word files on a PC. Does anyone know if there is some sort of converting software, or different extension I need to use? I appreciate your help!

I have a MacBook I bought in the USA, but I live/work in the WiFi paradise of Tallinn, Estonia. Literally, there are a half-dozen WiFi signals available on every street corner, and every public building has an available signal. The problem: My Mac doesn't pick them all up.

I have a friend who is teaching a G.I.S. concepts class to his son's fifth grade. My friend developed the class on his PC, but then found out the whole school uses Macs, and the process he developed is not working on Word for Mac.

In the old Word, when I saved and closed, the next time the file was opened the doc was placed at the same position it had been. Now, when opening a doc, it always appears at top left.
Any way to retain doc position on screen?
