I just recently upgraded to Office 2008 from Office 2004. When using Word prior to the upgrade I had selected the option of a blue background with white text. I found that this helped with reading ease and noticed that all text, paragraph markings, and cursors changed to white. Now

I am running Word 20008 on Leopard.
The document is two columns, with sections running continuously. There is a way to make the section breaks clear by starting a new page. Is there a way to draw a line across both columns, in the middle of a page, so the section breaks are more

Probably an anal question, but I have no idea how to get the formatting palette features (font size, font, bold, italic, etc). on the top of my screen. I don't like them in that formatting palette window. I was able to do it with Office 2004, but I cannot figure it out on Office 2008.

My problem is when I insert pictures into the body of an email... the pictures are too large and I have not found a way to edit them. Who knows how to do that? I can select the picture but it doesn't have "handles" to pull to size it and I have not found a command on the toolbar

Does anyone know how I can change the default footnote font size? Perhaps I am doing this incorrectly, but I've tried changing the Normal.dotm template, and this had no effect.

I have a document that is auto line numbered and I have converted the numbers to text. I can copy the converted text into another word document without any problems, but the minute that I copy it into a text box I have all the numbers removed and replaced with a combination of bullets
