I am a Mac user. I have an older WORD file that was sent to me in a locked status. I am able to read it fine. I am trying to delete the file and keep getting an error message saying "The operation cannot be completed because the item is locked."

Hi guys, whenever i press return, there seems to be double spacing so that it jumps one line more than it should downwards. I have been on Format and double-spacing was not turned on, so i can't think what else is wrong as i haven't formatted Word at all.

Keyboard shortcuts I define in Word 2008 do not seem to be work in the Notebook view. For example, I have Command-[ and Command-] set to promote and demote items in lists. These commands work in all other views, but do not work in Notebook view. In fact, I cannot find any way to demote

I have recently migrated from PC to Mac. I've created a lot of macros in Word 2003 for Windows and assigned them to toolbars and menus. Is there any way I can import them into Word 2004 for Mac. I tried copying the Normal.dot file from Word 2003 into the folder where the Normal template

I have a Mac G4 running os 10.2.8 and Office 2004. Some of the graphics, especially Word Art, are distorted both on screen and when printed. They come in looking compressed horizontally and elongated vertically, to the point you can't tell what it is. Any ideas? Lmhag

Hi,
I would like to use the newt smartart matrix and add legends to the axes within the smartart. However I haven't been able to find a way to do that! Is it possible?
I think that a matrix is prett meaningless without a legend...

It seems that when I am working in Word, there is sometimes created a strange file called "Word Work File______.tmp". I figured this had something to do with a backup file, and that it would disappear when I exited Word. Sometimes this seems to be the case, and the file disappears

I'm using Word 08, OS X 10.4.11, an iMac and a new Mac aluminum keyboard. I can't get Customize Keyboard to recognise the F16 to F19 keys that this keyboard offers, and would love to have them to hand for Word. Can I?
