When I go to open up a new blank document on Word it does not open up an actual blank document...instead it opens up the first file I ever saved on Word. The most annoying part is that the first file I saved has a bunch of unusual text boxes, so I have to do a bunch of formating each

| Why are there no Grammar check "explanations" in Word 2008? | 30 Jan 2008 18:31 GMT | 23 |
When Word 2008 catches a grammar error, it no longer offers an explanation via the Office Assistant of Word 2004 or the "Explain" button of Word 2007. It just gives you a quick view of the error. Where are the explanations? Will Microsoft fix this? I feel ripped off.

My wife is having problems with formatting in Word. She tells me that when she highlights text for applying font/formatting attributes, the formatting is applied to the entire page. When she used the undo command, the attributes revert back to the text that she originally highlighted.

| Toolbox book icons | 30 Jan 2008 15:31 GMT | 1 |
the Toolbox has three icons that look like books. Should I ever remember which is which it will be by their position rather than looks. Unfortunately you can neither add captions as in Cocoa toolbars nor remove some of them. Like the Reference Tools which I find very useless.

In 2004 Word, you could open your own template or create one and save it. When I went to open the new Word, there were no templates. Do they need to be down loaded?
