Every year I ask his question - I must remember to keep the answer.
The instruction to remove an item from the "Work" menu in Word is the same
as the Mac keyboard shortcut to zoom out - consequently it doesn't work.  So
how do you remove an item from 'Work'?

When I try to create a new blank document in Word it has two pages of
text that come up. I assume that what it's pulling up is a document on
my computer somewhere. I then have to delete everything to write

to remove all hyperlinks from a document:

Does anyone know if Word for Mac '08 will have the reading layout
feature? I just switched to mac and on my old PC I used that function
quite a bit to read long documents on screen.

Previously, I was using a PowerMac G4 Tower (Tiger OS) with Office
2004 installed. For years, I could type reports and insert linked
Excel worksheets into my Word documents with no problem. However, I
recently purchased an iMac Core 2 Duo and installed Office 2004. Now,

A word doc created w/ Word 2004 Student Teacher ed. and emailed it to
a Windows laptop looks absolutely garbled on the laptop.  I created it
w/ the .doc extension and saved it to the desktop.   Any ideas?   I'm

Office 2004, just installed Leopard and each time i attempt to network
print, word crashes.  Tried to pdf word document and send that to the
printer - no luck.
Any thoughts?

When I open a document and click save I get the save dialog box. And I
click save and it asks if I want to replace the existing file with
that name. I hit replace and it says I cannot replace an open
document. How am I supposed to save my document if I can't replace it
