I will be transferring my Word 97 documents on a PC running Windows 98 SE to a new iMac, on which I will install Microsoft Office for Mac. It looks like Microsoft Office 2007 and 2008 are available. Will either open Word 97 documents OK? Thanks for any advice.

I am runing windows XP sp3 and when typing ithe cursor suddenly jumps to a different place on the page such that I find myself typing in the middle of something else. Is it me, or is ther a glitch?

Sometimes in word, I start a print job, it's going fine and then just stops. Then I select start job, and instead of printing the correct text, just weird symbols start print a bit on each page. Most pages are blank with a few weird gobly gook symbols.

Sometime I put big fat stack paper in printer, and then just put 200 copies, even though I'm not sure exactly how many sheets are in there. Is there way to tell Word to just print till out paper and then stop? As it is I have to go through this ordeal of shutting off printer, and it

Strange thing happening. When I create a numbered list using Roman numerals, when I get to items 7 and 8, there is a gap between the number and the list item. This only happens for list items number 7 and 8. 9 and 10 will go back to normal. This is happening to everyone

when I create a paragraph style in Word 2004 (Mac) with umlauts like "Fußnote", when I open that RTF document in Word XP (Win), the name of the style is garbled (it's "Fuflnote", with fl-ligature instead of sz ligature).
