Macro for Paste Special Unformatted Text28 Dec 2007 05:47 GMT17
I'm copying and pasting a lot of emails into one Word document. To
save steps, I created a macro to paste special unformatted text, but
it's not working right. It's pasting but not in unformatted text
form.  My macro is:

this (don't have AcroPro8). Can any of the MVPs address this question?

insert address26 Dec 2007 14:30 GMT2
I think this should be simple, but I can't figure it out.  I want to
insert the address of a contact that is in my Address Book into the
header of a letter.  The word help menu didn't help and a search of
past postings on this forum didn't solve my quandry.

replaced apostrophes and quote marks with i.  I've reset preferences

Office for Mac, Word for Mac 2004 V 11.3.5.
This is in all probability a bug, but if anyone knows what might be
happening, I'd be grateful for a pointer.

Cannot install XML Compatibility Pack24 Dec 2007 11:00 GMT4
I've been unable to successfully install the latest Microsoft XML
Compatibility Pack 0.2b successfully. It /says/ that the installation has
completed, but the plist file for this pack never appears in either of the
the Library/Preferences/Microsoft folders as it is supposed to do ...
Color fill in Word 200424 Dec 2007 03:45 GMT7
I just switched from Word X to Word 2004.
In Word X, I had the Fill button (paint can) on the Formatting
toolbar, and I used it to color-code lines of text.
I added the button to the Formatting toolbar in Word 2004, but it is

After upgrading my PowerMac G5 dual/2.0GHz to Leopard (10.5.x), Word
crashes every time I "SAVE" a new document and sometimes randomly

upgrading to Microsoft Word 200422 Dec 2007 20:35 GMT2
I recently upgraded from Word X to Word 2004. Everything works okay,
but I have a problem with preserving original formatting. Word 2004
changes things a bit. For example, things that fit on one page in Word
X (with a page break) will extend into a second page in Word 2004. I
Microsoft Word for Mac v.X22 Dec 2007 17:57 GMT3
I am told that this version of Word is no longer supported.  Great.
Here's the problem -- I cannot send word documents on my web-based
email (gmail).  Gmail tells me that it has detected a virus.
I have an iBook G4, and no virus software.

I'm a biologist, and have been working with a set insect collection
data.  Most of my requirements are simple -- enter the data into Word
or Excel, save it as a text file, and use the text as input into
several data-analysis freeware programs.
