When working on a document the cursor takes the "wristwatch" form, a much harder shape to work with that the typical pointer. Why does this happen, and how can I correct it? Thanks!

Somehow I created Word templates when I wanted a vanilla document. Whenever I create a new document as a modification of this, I get another template even though I select Word Document from the Options menu in the save window. Microsoft Help is useless. Ot os even difficult to find ...

In a MS Work 2003 document if I select a paragraph and modify formatting (bold, italics, etc) then it is automatically applied to every other similar paragraph in the document. I think this is applying the format to tha style but not sure.
