Vertical toolbar icons disappear!! Bug?
If switching between applications, the icons on the toolbar often
disappear when
Word is activated again. Running the cursor over the toolbar from top

I have a Word 2004 document that incorporates both text and in-line
graphics.
I'd like to print the text via a high resolution laser printer, then run
the same doc through a color inkjet printer for the graphics (digicam

When I tried to save a word doc, I got an error:

??? Upon opening any document, a ~$ (1K) version of the document appears in
the folder menu. When a document is saved, the document and a ~WRL3436.tmp
file appear in the folder menu. When the original document is closed the ~$
and temporary file also disappear. This just started ...

For reasons which are now frustrating me beyond measure, I cannot get
MS Word to Open.  I beleive it is tied to the old OS9 system as the
two icons W &9 appear and seemingly attemp to open, only vanish or, if
the status bar says it is loading, there is no application to find

I first noticed MS Word 2004 using excessive processor time a few days
after I applied the latest iTunes and Quicktime update (7/14) and the
Microsoft update 11.3.6 (7/13). Prior to that I upgraded to 10.4.10

A new feature of Office 2004 for Mac.  I just installed a Lexmark
W840dn (a top of the line printer) but I can't get a Word document to
print.  Entrourage, Excel, Adobe products (Acrobat, InDesign, etc.)
and other common programs work fine, but not Office 2004.

I just posted a fairly massive document to the Web. The results were
disappointing. I saved everything as Web documents using Word X. I
used quite a few non-standard characters -- em dashes, curly quotes,

The answer is probably No, but is there a way to set the preferences
so that double clicking on a word does not select the space after the
word. I would prefer not to have to drag across the whole word to
select it without the space.
