I'm trying to troubleshoot a situation where a user of Word X opens a
certain .doc file, and receives a server authentication dialog,
starting a connection to an AFP server on the local network.  The

We have old Word documents that have straight quotes that surround the terms
that will be included in an Index.  When we convert the document to Word 2002
or 2003, one thing we do is change the straight quotes to smart quotes.
The problem is that the quote that follows the Index ...

After selecting a line and make it, for instance, bold, the whole text
changes rather than the selected line
After using 'undo' the result is like it was meant to be. So only the
selected line is bold.

Installed Office on new Mac Mini.  Attempted to re-create previous
templates because of changes in available type fonts.  After creating
new template, attempt to Save As, select "Document Template" in Format
box, select "My Templates" in Where box. "Save" button is greyed out

in Word X I pasted an Excel object, double clicked to edit, added a row,
and went back: unchanged. Editing again confirms that the row was saved,
it just doesn't show in Word. Resizing/changing cropping didn't help.

Can anyone help me.  I need to design my own word wizards/templates.
I am at a loss as to how to do this.  Any help or directions to help
would be greatly appreciated.  I need it for a 15 page questionnaire
and also a medical report where I need to input pathology results.

Does anyone know where the box for aligning fonts has gone to in the
latest update, 11.3.5 of Microsoft Office for Mac?
At present there does not appear to be one.  Can anyone help?  Can
someone from Microsoft help?

I really like using the formatting palette.  When I try to access it
(by clicking on the appropriate toolbar button), I see the genie
effect move to/from a mysterious "off-screen" location that I can't
access.  How do I fix this?  Thank you!

When I save/save as, Word 2004 just quits -- even just a blank doc. If
I open an exsisting doc close it without saving and try to re-open,
Word quits. Any resolution ideas?

i am having alot of trouble finding out about how to edit, spell check
word documents etc. in German.

I want to create a form that can be sent to others via email in an
attachment that they can fill out and return by email. Example:

I am creating a bunch of table with an applescript. I can apply a
standard "built-in" table style to them, but I really would rather
apply the customized style that I can bring in from a saves dot. Any
thoughts on how to do this?
