200,000 word Word document28 Jun 2007 00:44 GMT13
I use Word to write novels and I'm thinking about upgrading to a
MacBook. I currently use a 2004 iBook, with 1.25 gig of RAM, a 1.2
PowerPC processor, and Word for Mac v.X, and I find documents with a
word count over 50,000 freeze, crash and slow Word. But most novels
word docs open in too small window27 Jun 2007 23:36 GMT1
Hi, I'm new to MACs, so bear with me.  All my word documents open in a
window that is less than half the size of my screen and I'm going
blind.  How do I change that?
Thanks...
"new document" opens a previous one27 Jun 2007 22:54 GMT2
When I open a new document from the File menu or when I choose "blank
document" from the project gallery, what actually opens is a letter I
wrote before, not a blank document. So I checked that letter's file
information and it was a .dot instead of a .doc, so I assume I

Master document - sub documents - end notes27 Jun 2007 14:30 GMT2
I am helping a friend who's authored a book compile his chapters
(written as separate Word documents) by combining the docs into one
file to send to his publisher.   The manuscript is due Thursday, so
he's in need of help ASAP. :))
Word 2004: Document opening too high up27 Jun 2007 04:55 GMT1
I have a particular document that often opens too high up on the screen,
so that the title bar is completely off-screen (not just behind
toolbars). Quitting/reopening Word sometimes fixes it, but it keeps
happening.

I am used to using Word 2007 where you can create a spreadsheet
directly in word without having to do so outside and insert it. It is
very easy, seamless and immediately. Word 2004 it is much more

Office 2004 Crashes on Save26 Jun 2007 06:42 GMT3

deleting word files stored in word26 Jun 2007 06:38 GMT3
It sounds simple, but it's not. I want to go through all my documents
stored in Word - throw some out, organize others in files. But there
is no obvious way to do this. Can somebody please walk me through how
to toss out old files stored in Word?
cannot add words to dictionary26 Jun 2007 06:29 GMT1
Not sure if this is a file permissions issue but while spell checking
a doc I no longer can add words to my personal dictionary file.  The
"Add" button never is highlighted when a misspelled word is
encountered.
