While using Office for Mac 2004...specifically Word.  I am running
into a problem with accessing Japanese Phonetic   s...the furigana

In Office for Win, one simply highlights that Japanese text/character
Cannot Send from .mac30 Jun 2007 12:47 GMT3
Listers,
Both my Cox POP account and my .mac IMAP account send out on the same SMTP
port #25.  Cox overrides (?) .mac, and I cannot send from the latter.  How
do I fix this?  Is there another port besides #25 that I can use to send

Somehow, hyperlinks in all my MSWord documents, which used to appear
as blue and underlined, now instead appear as { HYPERLINK
"http:....." }  How can I change this back to the normal hyperlink

Can Word 2004 for Mac create click-able Table of Contents?29 Jun 2007 15:14 GMT4
I have created a few Table of Contents using Word 2004 for Mac but
have been unsuccessful in creating entries in these TOCs that are
click-able i.e if I click or Ctrl+click on an entry in the TOC, Word
jumps to the  corresponding section in the document.  Does anybody
Comments, vs Final Showing Markup29 Jun 2007 11:12 GMT2
I love Comments; I loath Final Showing Markup.  Or, "how do I keep my love
with Final Showing Markup intruding?"
This is not an issue with tracking as such.  I Accept All Changes, close,
open, and still find it open showing Comments, so to print I must manually
screen zoom resize problem29 Jun 2007 04:24 GMT5
Simple problem - hopefully there's a simple fix. When I open any
document (new or existing), it leaves a gap of about 1" below the
(Mac) menu bar. I then have to drag the document to resize. Not a
problem once or twice a day, but I tend to open dozens of documents a
Wrinkles with MS Office29 Jun 2007 04:22 GMT4
I'm helping a friend with Word/Office woes. Here's a copy of his note:

> when I couldn't open a document from a student intern I have here.  Not only
> would his doc not open, I couldn't get any of mine to ...
Jumping Cursor29 Jun 2007 02:42 GMT1
I am using a Mac iBook G4 with OS 10.4.10 and Office 2004 for Mac. In both
Word and Entourage, when I hit the letter "t" the cursor often - not always -
jumps back about three lines leaving me with gibberish.
Any ideas or fixes will be greatly appreciated.
Arabic Keyboard Viewer in MS Word29 Jun 2007 02:38 GMT1
A frustration I'm having with Arabic support in Word for Mac is that
the keyboard viewer switches back to the Roman letters whenever Word
is opened. Everything looks fine with the language support setup and
the keyboard viewer until Word is executed at which time the keyboard
WORD 2003 ADD TABLE COLUMNS28 Jun 2007 18:52 GMT2
I want to have two more columns in the remainder of my table than I have in a
header row.  I presently have 1 less column than the remainder of the table.
When I attempt to add a new column by selecting the right most column
(without selecting a cell in the header row) and ...
Table of contents using Table Entry fields28 Jun 2007 08:58 GMT6
I am wondering what the keyboard shortcut is to create a table entry
field in Word 2004? On the PC version, using Alt-Shift-O will create
the entry then creating a table of contents from that. I can't find
anywhere what the Mac shortcut is (tried Alt-Shift-O with no luck)

Hidden speech marks and entry problems Word200728 Jun 2007 03:20 GMT2
Hey there.
I'm the token IT/PC guy at work. One of the girls is having trouble using
"speech marks" or "quotation marks" when she is writing in Word.
If they are inserted as you write, the first set "can be seen, but the last

compile error: invlaid outside procedure28 Jun 2007 01:12 GMT4
I had a macro setup to open new word documents in 'online view' with a
few other settings. It's worked fine for years. Now it seems to have
been corrupted. When I hit cmd-n I get a box saying, "compile error:
invlaid outside procedure."
