I have added a new Font to the Font book.  It took several tries to
get it right in the Font Book but is ok now.  However in Word it had a
totally different appearance or sometimes just appears as boxed
capital A's or slashes.  I thing I just need to eliminate the Font

I have noticed three things:
1. My Microsoft User Data folder has several Word Work Files, some are
called  Word Work_A1, A2, A3, etc but some are called  Word
Work_34141389, and like. All of them open a warning dialogue on double

In Microsoft Office for PC, when you insert an image into a Word file,
you can compress it. You double click on the image, go to the Picture
tab, and then click on the Compress button. However, this is not an
option in Word 2004 for Mac OS/X. Does anybody know how to compress

My neighbor asked me for help with her word program.
Some how...... she set something that puts a solid
black box across the screen when she tries to type
in some text.By that I mean its about 2 sizes bigger

I am a keen amatuer wildlife photographer & have recently developed my
own small online image library. Currently there are only 200 or so

This is driving me crazy.  My word documents have spontaneously begun
going haywire in the formatting department.  Whenever I press return
the cursor moves halfway down the page, or to the foot of the page (in
blank documents).  In lengthy documents the gap between paragraphs

What did I do wrong?  When I go to Envelopes on the Tools menu, enter
the Delivery and Return addresses and click OK, the Delivery address
appears nearly flushed left. Did I change the template without
realizing it?  I can manually move the Delivery address to the center

I am running OSX 10.4.9 Office 2004  G4 Quicksilver (896 MB RAM)
Word 11.3 (070131) behaves very erratically. There is often considrable lag
between a mouse action - clicking, scrolling, moving a window - and the
response of Word. You get the experience of of a slow-witted person ...

Is there a way in Microsoft Word to autofill a text box with dummy
text?

in Word X I have a style A that incorporates a border line above the
paragraph. Which gets drawn just nice between two paragraphs B and A,
but is omitted between A and A!

1. Why won't the AutoFormat > 'replace straight quotes with smart
quotes' option work in my older files? The only way I can get them to
display smart quotes is to find and replace all quotes, which
shouldn't be necessary. In new files there's no issue.

To save a document via WebDAV on Word for Windows:
I click on "File" -> "Save" ->
"http://www.servername.com/directory/filename.doc" -> "OK"
Is there a chance to do the same on Word for Mac?

When I save text in Word on Mac the letters' order is changed. When I
want to delete a letter it deletes another one from the beginning of a
sentence or a middle. Does anyone know how to solve the problem?
