Often I just want to open a document that I've already created or downloaded. It'd save me an extra step each time if I could get Word 2004 to just start up and not open a blank document, which I then have to close.

I've placed the custom tool bar on the side of the screen so I get more length of my pages showing. The objects keep disappearing. As I pass the cursor over the blank tool bar the objects reappear and are operable. Is this magic or is it a fixable glitch??
