If you make the mistake of using Outline view to create a list, or if
you somehow end up with an outline you want to print, you will find
that the result of printing an outline is a useless, unformatted list
of headings, line after line with no indentations.

I'm facing a problem with a mini mac running MS office.  The tool bar
disappears and whenever I try to set it again in View ---> toolbars
---> Standard nothing appears.
Is there anyway to get it back?

Hey Everyone,
Somehow my function to use tab to switch bullets, numbers, etc has been
turned off. I've gone into the AutoCorrect options panel to see if I
could find anyting on it, but I haven't been succesful. Anybody know

Is it possible to embed fonts into a document? I know in Office XP/2003
you can embed fonts by doing the following:
Selecting 'Save As' from the File Menu, then by selecting Tools >
Options which givess you a dialog box where you can check 'Embed All

I try not to use character styles but sometimes it has to be done.
One problem I've found recently is that when updating a character style
via menu Format > Style or via Formatting Palette > Modify Style is that

I've just done my periodic font-simplification on my new machine, and I'm
pleased to find that I'm down 23 fonts in my Word font menu.
I kept only the fonts that are mandatory and the ones I use.

I need to print a calendar with specific events which show both
starting and ending times as well as the full text of the event and its
notes. I need this to be listed on a regular monthly calendar not on a
list view. Can someone help me?

Something has happened to my Microsoft Word and I don't know how to change
it. When I highlight a block of text and press the backspace button, it does
not delete the text. Instead, the cursor just moves to the start of the
higlighted text. The same happens when I highlight text ...

when i open a word document, after the first letter that i type a box appears
with what looks like chinese writing if i click onok in the box or close it i
can then carry on with my word document, any ideas why it appears?
My outlook also tells me that files are missing and comes ...

My daughter created a large document in Word 2002 for school which contained
many pictures.  When we open the document, it doesn't show any of the
pictures, only empty boxes.  We got an error message saying "insufficient
memory".  Any suggestions how to salvage this document?... ...

In building a newslettyer with Word, I have moved some photos from
Iphoto into Word, knowing that I must format them using "Tight" so I
can move them around.  However, moving photos around causes other

New MacBook, new Office 2004.  From time to time, Word will not allow
me to save new documents.  Also will not allow me to open certain older
