I've been using Word 2004 on my Intel iMac for six months. Spell check
and Grammer were always part of my Tool drop down menu. Then one day
they were missing. The Thesaurus and other elements were still there.
Did I inadvertantly turn them off? Hmmm. Help would be greatly

When I want to insert a photo from a file I only get a list of details.
Thumnails would be handy for me. Does anybody know how to do this? I'm
using Mac office 2004.

Just trying to figure out what's changed that is causing RTF files created
in Word 2003 (Windows) to suddenly have arbitrary text take on the 'Hidden'
character format when opening the files with Word 2004 (Mac). Open the same
file with Word v.X and no problems. We're running Word ...

Does anyone know how to insert a game onto a web page in word? I can get the
HTML of the game, and then go to view HTML source and insert it there, but I
can't get the game to show up on my web page

Hello, I'm being plagued by errors that tell my users the documents
they're trying to open are "being used by 'another user'. Do you want
to make a copy?" - then on saving they get "This file is in use by
another application or user."

I used to use the backslash character to create math equations.  Now,
when I go to the help menu (Word 2004, Mac), I find all the
instructions (i.e. \f(a,b) for fractions, or \o() for overstrike, and {
EQ etc } for equations), but none of these work - that is, page view

When working in a table, I undid the capability for capitalizing the
first letter in each cell. Smart Tag came up and I unchecked that
functionality. Now I can't get it back. I don't get any Smart Tag to
re-initialize/re-check the capitalization feature, nor do I see it my

by double-clicking the Preview icon. However, recently - I believe
since updating Office to v. 10.1.7 - this no longer works. Is this a

Since some weeks when working in Word 2003 (XP SP2) my screen turns off en my
system is shutting down and restarts. After restart it doesn't report Windows
error; so it seems to be a normal restart.

crashed. I started my computer up again, however I did not save my work. Is

Can anyone tell me how to apply diacretic marks to letters when
spelling words from a non-English language.  I recently had to us some
names that had a mark like a small 'v' over some letters, but I
couldn't work out how to put them there
