I have a document that is printing the parts that it should, but is also printing something (lighter, in the background) that has no business being there. I have tried everything including starting from scratch but somehow this garbage still appears. NOT a pretty picture!

I have a protected Word document that has "fill-in-able" fields. When I fill it in I'd like the spell checker to check those fields I've filled in. I don't need the spell checker to check the rest of the document, ONLY those fields that are fill-in-able.

I have searched high and low in WORD for MAC 2004 to find the symbols for male and female. Are they not available or am I missing them? They are in the symbol fonts on WORD 2003 for my PC at home. Can you help? THANKS!

I am having trouble both setting tabs and seeing them. to set them I am highlighted text and then dragging a tab style (left margin) to the ruler. Then I start typing, but my text stays put where my page margin is set.

I'm using Word on the Mac Version vX and 2004 on both OS 10.3 and 10.4. I can't seem to figure out how to turn the fraction substitution off. When someone types 1/2 I want it to stay as the characters they typed and not change to some wierd character.

Hello, I'd like to know how to create shortcuts in order to get, in Word 2004 MAC edition a direct link from "r" to "revolution" for example. The only way to create those insertions seems to be to write at least four or five letters of the word and than to chose in a list.
