About a week ago, my thesaurus function in Office/Word 2004 11.2.3
decided to stop working.  Now, when I highlight a word and select Tools
--> Thesaurus (or when I enter the word manually in the top field of
the open "Reference Tools" window), nothing comes up in the "Meanings"

I'm thinking about switching from a PC to a MacBook but wanted to find
out whether the keyboard could be used to access menu commands in
Microsoft Word for the Mac.  (I couldn't do it a few months ago at one
of the retail stores on one of the PowerBooks.)

I'm a newby at this stuff. How do I change the text color when using
WordArt ? Tried following what " help" says, but it was no help.

I'm running 10.3.9, and when I attempt to shut down the computer, Word
X won't quit. I have to force quit the program in order to shut down.
Any idea what the problem is and how to resolve it?

Is there somewhere in Microsoft Word where you can see the name of the
image file you inserted? I can't believe that once an image in inserted
into a page, there's no way of knowing the name of the file to refer to
in case it needs to be revised.

I have a document open in Vim, I do a "select all" and "copy". I can
paste that text in TextEdit on Tiger but not into Word 2004. Is this a
known issue?

Ok, so I need a full-page background image to appear on every page of a
document. Therefore, I inserted it as a Watermark... which works well.
However, when I go to edit the header or footer, the background image
is selectable, and can accidentally be moved. Which is frustrating.

How do you find the source of a picture file or even the name of an
image that has been pasted into Word so you can revise it outside the

i am building a template with tables. I have a logo in the left margin,
as well as a text box at the bottom setup to auto insert the document
name/location. When the table grows to the next page or even near the
