I have Word v.X in OS 10.3.9.  Some of my fonts have just disappeared
from my font list - Sand, Textile, and I think quite a few others are
gone.  I don't think I've done anything.  I tried restarting the
computer, and even reinstalling Word, but they are still missing.  Any

NUMBERING PROBLEMS
After formatting and using Numbering, when I press Demote, say,
Notebook demotes to a bulleted item.  When I press the Numbering
button, the number does not correspond with the demoted level (eg.

I send out a weekly newsletter which is usually 8 or 9 pages long. In

2 days ago I posted a problem about numbering in Notebook view:
(a) defaulting to Bullets when I used the Promote/Demote buttons;
(a) after I'd customised it still defaulted to Bullets, and when I
returned to Numbering the number did not correspond to what it should

On a page with a dozen equations (many just a single letter, because the
author didn't know any better), Word 2004 runs like treacle. The
spinning colour wheel spins for around 10 seconds every time I type
something. This is maddening - a short job is taking me hours.

I'm using Word for Mac 2004.
When I paste in a full page sized graphic and set the text wrapping to
be top and bottom (and UNcheck "move object with text"), I still end up
getting at least 1 line of text at the bottom of the page underneath

I deleted all the non-English (but keeping Aus and UK English) proofing
tools, then found that the "Spelling" option was missing from my Tools
menu.
I reinstalled them and removed a few and the option remained, but

I liked the old Comments window in Word 98. I could quickly see all my
comments. Now I find that the new Revewing Pane lists absolutely
everything I've changed - every comma inserted, every word deleted -
interspersed among the comments. This is really irritating - now I have

I am curious if there is anything like a MAC Microsoft Word Viewer out there
somewhere.  I can find them for PC's, but so far no luck for the MAC.

Word 2004's English (Australian) dictionary seems to have lost a word or
two. It doesn't recognise "organise" or "organisation", wanting to
substitute "organize" and "organization". I haven't yet found any other
-ise words that it has lost. Obviously this can be easily rectified ...

Occasionally in my Word documents I'll have a page with few or no actual
text. Instead, I may have a number of pictures (using the "in front of text"
layout) and some text boxes.
Question: is there any way to select all the graphics at once? I find that

I have installed a signature font in my fonts folder and need the following

How do you embed a signature (true type) font in a Word document so that someone
opening the document without my signature font can see and print the document

The type in the balloons at the right of the screen is too small to be
legible. How can I make it larger (without going to 150%)? The Help file
says nothing. If I click in a balloon, the style box identifies it as
Comment Text. But changing the size of Comment Text in Format: ...
