When I try to use the Data Merge function with Filemaker Pro (using WORD 2004 for the Mac) all Filemaker files with an ".fp7" extension (Pro 7 and 8) are dimmed. Since I USE Filemaker Pro 8, I am concerned. Is there a solution?

I'm using a period in a file term (ex. file.dmg). Word inserts a thin space, which I can't delete, between d, m, and g. Changing fonts doesn't correct it. Putting a space after the period -- that I don't want -- does. How do I correct this?

In some documents, a normal hyphen will not break at the end of a line - instead, the whole compound moves to the next line. I have even tried replacing the hyphen by pressing the hyphen key, just in case there was a non-breaking hyphen there, but this doesn't make a difference.

When I make mailing labels from an excel document, by using data merge, I get the labels as I want them, but the entire word .doc is only one page, even though I can see it's really many pages long. It will read: page 1 section 4 of 20. That tells me I'm on the 4th page of 20 pages
