Can anyone tell me how get "Insert > Date and time" to give me "Fri 28
Apr 2006"?
The Date-time box gives many other formats but not this.
System Prefs allows me to specify the format I want, but it is not

I'm using Office 2004 on a MacBook. I have small charts in Excel that
are oriented side-by-side. When I want to place these charts in Word I
select them, choose copy, go into Word and do Paste Special, choose
Picture. The result is always that the left-hand chart displays and

I am unsuccesffuly trying to copy a multipage PDF file into Word.  The PDF
file is mixed text and pictures.  If I just use copy after selecting all, it
just copies the text.  If I use insert picture, it just copies the first
page of the file.  Is there a way that I can get it to ...

I've been using MS Word for Mac since 2003. It as worked
well. But recently I've be getting spinning beach balls
, hanging, force quit etc.
It is very frustrating.

When I change a font or bold, MS Word changes the WHOLE
document. Then I have to undo to get it corrected.
What¹s the fix for this?

A document created (by someone else) in MS Word for the PC (Windows) with
our company logo embedded in it caused our client MS WORD (PC) to crash when
attempting to open it.  I can open the document with the logo in Mac Word
2004 - but the logo area is all black -- transparency set ...

Can anyone tell me where the temporary file created when you open a
document in Word is stored on the Mac and how to find it?  On the PC
it's easy - you get a hidden file in the same folder as the original
file but the first two characters of the filename are changed to ~$.

my client has Mac OS X 10.4.6 (PowerPC) systems with Office 2004 11.2.3
and Symantec Antivirus 10.0 for Macintosh. The machines are bound to a
Windows 2003 Active Directory, with network homes provided by Windows
2003 server over SMB.

I am using office x with os x 10.4.6
I recall in the past that i had spanish language spelling in word.  but in
the past 2 months...i can't seem to get it to work.  was it included?  Did I
remove it?  Where can I get it to reinstall?

We use two OpenType fonts - Minion Pro and HelveticaNeue LT (both from
adobe).  We have several machines, and none have had problems with
these fonts in past.  Recently a new Macintel iMac running 10.4.6 OS X
has begun to behave oddly.

I recently got a document that was created on WinWord. I quickly
noticed that there were some strange character substitutions in the
documents. For example, when I look at the document in WinWord, there
is a header that says "2.3.3 - UPSTREAM APPLICATIONS- CONTINGENCY

I am using line numbering on a lengthy legal document, and want very
much to suppress numbering  on blank lines without having to select
each and every one of the blank lines, and then suppress line numbering
under Format:Paragraph:Line & Page Breaks.
