i have the Problem that customers will sent me ppt-files
from Window-PCs. When i try to open them - i get the
following dialog...

Helpppp.  I just upgraded my Mac OS 9.2 to OSX.  For some reason, my
Word 98 keeps repeating lettersssss for no apppppparent reasonnnn, not
with any pattern, nor does it seeeeem to be due to my depressing the
key toooo long.  Any suggestions?

I work for a company who has a large number of facilities, each with
their own address header (png file) which I drop into the header to
make a template for that facility.  Is there a way to easily drop in
all of these at once rather than opening a fresh file each time,

All of my documents - even a new one - show thousands of reviewers'
names. I have checked the "remove personal info on save" option under
preferences/security, but that does not work. How can I fix this?

I'm hitting a strange problem. I've got a large project that I'm
porting from Office on Windows to Office on Mac OSX.
On Windows, I open the project in the VBE, then tell it to remove
protection, so it'll be viewable without a password. If I close Word,

I am having trouble with printing a mail merge. I am printing 500
letters and the print job starts over at about 170 pages and goes back
to page one. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to solve this problem?  I'm setting up a customer
information form with lines for Name, Address, City, State, Zip.  For
each field I want to have a solid underline bar extend the entire width
of the form.  I also want to set up merge fields to fill in the form

I use Tools>Envelopes... to generate an envelope, then when I print it, the
text comes out in red.  The font color is black, and I have tested the
printer using another document with black font, and it works fine.  Any ideas
how I can fix this?

I recently upgraded from Office X to Office 2004.  Just now I tried
opening a document (my resume, of all things) and found that some
characters have been replaced by boxes.  The missing characters are
from the font "Hoefler Text Ornaments", which is still installed on my

I have a probltm with the print dialog box in Microsoft Word. It does not
appear, even if I do Ctrl + P. If I want to print, I use print icon on the
standard toolbar. But then I do not the options of changing the printer to
fax, or to PDF filecreator, or to choose which page to ...

Whenever I edit a Word document created on a Wintel PC I always get the
little red tool box icon flashing and then when I run the compatibility
report I always get the note saying "English(US) proofing tools are not
installed." I have the student/teacher version of Office 2004(mac).

My formatting palette, even when I select "All Styles" only shows
Headings 1 - 3.  How do I add Heading 4 so my table of contents can
show that many levels?   Add style doesn't seem to work. Thanks.
