What is the logic behind the behavior of Table of Contents in Word 2004: First, when i create the TOC based on the Styles of the document it works ok and hyperlinks me to the chapter, that I click. BUT After I update the TOC, this behavior is lost, and I cannot return it. TOC

Utterly inelegant subject heading, but I wasn't sure how else to give it in a nutshell. What I'm looking to do is this: Create formatting so that the last line before a carriage return, one ending in a tab, can extend past where the rest of the paragraph

Try to save as and save in Word 2004 for Mac. I want to save it to a specific folder, but Word won't let me drill down further then documents. How do I (for example) save something in documents->Businessfolder->clientfolder?

I have a number of old Word files (created as far back as 1989) that will not open in Word 2004. I get the following message when I try to do so: "Word cannot open this document. The document might be in use or might not be a valid word document." I tried the following fixes

I have Office running on Mac OS X and Word doesn't seem to have Equation Editor and I can't find where to download it from the web. Does it come with this version of Word, or is it just not an option for this version of Word. Andrew
