While participating in a newsgroup, I ended up with locked word document files on my desktop. Because they are locked I can't delete them, and the administrator is unable to help. Any ideas?

We have major problems saving Word documents using Mac OS X 10.4.x on a server volume. What really makes it odd is that the problem only occurs in the afternoon. The problem has only been reported by users trying to save using Microsoft Word 2004.

I am having this problem with Word on my Mac. When I want to insert words into text I have already written it is writing over the existing text. I know on a PC I can just hit "insert" and fix this problem but I can't figure out how to fix this on my Mac??? Can anyone help?
