Document window's top covered by toolbar31 Dec 2005 06:35 GMT3
For no particular reason when I open a new document in Word (version x)
the new document's window is pushed all the way to the top of the
screen, placing it under the toolbar (it does however, arrange itself
correctly from left-to-right). I've tried arranging it how I want and
Word Only Prints One Page31 Dec 2005 04:27 GMT2
I don't know what to do. Microsoft Word X will only print the last page
of my Word documents. It prints the last page, pauses, then stops. All
other applications print fine: websites, emails, Excel, textedit, etc.
I have uninstalled my printer and then reinstalled it. I have run ...

1. Use the Language Register to set the English version of Word 2004 to
handle Japanese.
2. Copy Russian text from outside Word, for example from
http://ru.wikipedia.org/ .
Crash on cuts31 Dec 2005 00:23 GMT2
Word 2004 is frequently crashing on me when I cut or copy a block of
text, like the size of a paragraph or more. Word doesn't seem to want
to put much text on the clipboard. Anyone else run into this problem or
know how to fix it?

I'm trying to print my Holiday Cards (I know...there a bit late this
year).   Here's my problem.  I'm using a custom enevlope (5" x 4").  I
created this custom paper size in "Page setup", Orientation is
Portrait.  In the "page setup summary" it reads:  Microsoft word>

how is document map in v.X?30 Dec 2005 09:55 GMT7
I've read some advice saying that Document Map is unstable and
shouldn't be used. Is that still true in v.X?
Shauna Kelly notes that the Windows version has improved a lot:

Where does Word X (and 2004 for that matter) store Autotext entries?28 Dec 2005 20:43 GMT3
I have a client where every day the users get a fresh "normal.dot" as
part of the login process (via an applescript) from a central location.
This ensure that they are all using the same corporate standards etc.
Each user however is able to maintain their own "personal" Autotext
MS Word displaying graphics as a red X in a black box28 Dec 2005 20:35 GMT2
I am receiving MS Word files from Windows users.  When I open them I
often see a red X in a black box filling the position where a graphic
should be.  I am not sure of the graphic formats, but it has come up
frequently, and is impairing my work.  What can I do to see the
palette, toolbar questions26 Dec 2005 21:46 GMT5

toolbars, but what about the formatting palette?)

Any way to view text background as grey instead of white?26 Dec 2005 17:12 GMT3
Is there any way in Word 2004 to view the background against which text
is typed as a light shade of grey instead of white?  Note that this is
just for viewing on my computer monitor while typing; I will print out
the actual document as standard black on white text.

Please help. I am working on a book/college paper and have photographs

copy the program will start infinite pagination.  I figure it has
