I am having a bit of a snafu and am hopeful that someone here can give
me a hand.  I have a Word DOT template that was originally created in
MS Word 2003 for Windows and needs to be utilized on both Mac and
Windows systems.  The template includes a number of text boxes and

Hi, I am an editor using Word for Mac, v 11.2; using comment bubbles
but not the name/dat/function feature. Queries inserted as comments are
not showing for some of my authors. I've tried getting them to View,

New style available to all docs?13 Oct 2005 23:37 GMT1
I've created a style, but I want to use it in any/all docs that I open.
It seems like I would need to copy the style to each doc's template,
but that's a DRAG. Anyone know how to do this? Word Help is no help...

In recently switching from Windows to Tiger I've found that my footers
which printed fine on four different HP printers (Officejet 7410,
deskjet 450, and several laserjets) now results in "footer section is
outside the printable area of the page"  message on the same printers

I have been sucessfully running Word x on my iMac. I just bought a new

Mapping Visual Basic12 Oct 2005 18:30 GMT2
I am looking for an article on the basic layout of VBA. Maybe a map
would work. More specifically, when you edit a macro, there are 3
panels that open. The Projects, Properties, and the panel that says
Normal-NewMacros (code). The third one I have a handle on but the
printing on 3x5 cards12 Oct 2005 14:57 GMT1
How do I get Word to command my printer to print onto 3x5 cards (I'm
making a set of flashcards)? I can get word to layout in a 3x5 format;
however, when it commands the printer, for some reason it commands the
printer to print the material as if centered on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece ...

Is there some way I can stop Word from automatically converting words
such as organisation to organization? I have the language set to
English(AUS) but Word still insists on the incorrect spelling.

Bug with change case12 Oct 2005 10:13 GMT4
Does anybody know how to report a bug to Microsoft, regarding Microsoft
Office 2004?
Here's the bug that is driving our clients batty, who use Microsoft
Word to handle their transcription business:
Negative image12 Oct 2005 02:01 GMT6
I find that in some word documents that I have created on a PC in Windows
Word 2002, when I open them in Word:Mac 2004 version 11.2 (iMac G5 OSX
10.2.4) some of the images (not photos) come out as a "negative". I.e. What
should be black is white and vice versa.
Printing envelopes with superscript (data merge and ordinals)12 Oct 2005 01:09 GMT1
I'm using office 2004 on my mac to create wedding invitations. When I
enter an ordinal, say "1st," the "st" should be superscripted. It is
not. So I went to the data source and auto formatted. All of my
ordinals became superscripted in that document. Great, or so I thought.

Word X occasionally hangs for 20-40 seconds11 Oct 2005 18:41 GMT3
I'm writing fairly long documents using Word X. About every 10 to 20
minutes, Word will temporarily hang, with the spinning beachball. The
hang lasts for maybe 20 to 40 seconds (it varies). Then it's back.
Here's some relevant info:
