I use WORD X and OS 10.4. Without any warning I cannot now access the
formatting palette in the VIEW menu or from the icon on the formatting
toolbar. When I try to do this it appears ever so briefly and rushes
down to the right hand corner and disappears out of sight in a fraction

I installed Microsoft Office 2004 and a number of Windows fonts were
thrown into my Library/Fonts folder. I would like to get rid of these
fonts. Are any of them necessary for Word, Powerpoint or Excell? And if
so, will an Open Type or Mac Postscript font work instead? If it makes

page breaks and tables21 Oct 2005 15:02 GMT1
We have a teacher at school that has made up a table, which has worked
fine up until the last few days. Now while her table looks fine on
screen , when she prints it out it says there are 56 pages. After
looking at it I realized that it is seeing each cell as an individual

Duplicating a Text Box19 Oct 2005 22:57 GMT3
I have been using Word for years and I used to depend on the ability to
duplicate a text box by selecting the border and pressing command-D.  I
would get a an immediate text box that I could then move to another
place and so on.
Footer printing in Word X for Mac19 Oct 2005 21:51 GMT2
When I print a Word document the footer is chopped off. I have read
many dicussion group solutions but they never work with me. There is a
blank border around the whole page, 1.5cm at the bottom and 1cm left,
top & right. Any ideas? I have played with all the margin settings,
Duplicate a Text Box19 Oct 2005 20:35 GMT1
I find that I can no longer duplicate a text box using MS Word 2004 for
Mac (student/teacher edition).
I used to be able to "command-D" on the border of a text box and
immediately get a nice little duplicate.

This is a two part question/problem.
First part: When printing from Word 2004 SP2 to Adobe PDF (Acrobat

I like to use Word with minimum decoration. no rulers, no toolbars,
lots of keyboard shortcuts, perma page view.
In Word X, I had to keep a few pixels of the formatting palette on
screen to get cmd-shift-s (change style) to work elegantly. That is
