I needed to reinstall Word 2004 a couple of nights ago and today I noticed that spell and grammar checker is not working. First grammar checker. Under the preferences the "Hide grammatical errors in this document is checked", but EVERYTHING under grammar is also grayed out.

I use a Word template protected as a form, with date and time fields. The date fields are formatted "MM-dd-yyyy" and the time fields are "h:mm AM/PM". Before the SP2 update to Word 2004, entering "8/1" in a date field produced "08-01-2005" and entering "17:45" in a time field

I have a table that contains a column of numbers that I would like to format as currency. In Wordperfect for Windows this can be done via a column format feature. I can't find a similar feature in Word 2004 for Mac. Can anyone point me in the right direction for doing this? ...

I'm using Word 2004, and need to be able to type a solid underscore line. Not like this:__________ ...but that all joined up, to indicate a missing word in the text. I know there's an easy way to do this, but I can't remember what it is.

After resolving the PPT crash by identifying a missing font and a short (one week) period of trouble free behavior, today Word, Excel and PPT are crashing without a hint as to why, as soon as I touch any of the two font drop downs. Deleting the Office Font Cache did not help.

A friend of mine is having some problems with Headers and Footers in a document he has created. He initially created the document and placed headers and footers on each page. He has turned on the Track Changes options and has made some changes to the document.
