I recently bought a CD label maker that included a software package. It only
allows importing WMP playlists in .asx, .wax, and .wvx formats. Windows Media
Player 11 saves playlists in .wpl format. I assume previous versions of WMP
used those old formats for playlists

WMP 9 for Mac has worked fine for several years, but now when I try to play
audio on it from XM online or another web page, it says "Connecting" and then
immediately says "stopped." I believe this did occur after installing
Leopard. iMac G5

i'm using wmp11 and ripping to wma format. it never took more than 4-5
minutes to rip a cd but now it takes almost 15-20 minutes. what can i do to
speed up the process and why is this happening in the 1st place?

When I watch a video via the internet and then quit, the audio continues to
play in the background even though Windows Media app is closed.  How do I
change the setting to avoid this?

Am trying to watch Bloomberg TV and downloaded both WMP and flip4mac.
Flip4mac comes up on the tv viewer and plays the video but no sound.
It will play sound from other files just not with streaming video.

I seem to have problem while playing music DVDs- the sound skips. I tried
different programs, none works properly. I don`t have any problems while
listening to the music from cds. Any idea what`s wrong?

I am running Windows XP Home.  I cannot open up WMP.  If I uninstall WMP and
then reinstall WMP, will I lose all of my music files???
I am not sure if the problem is from ccleaner or Apple's Quicktime update.

I have about 220 machines in Active Directory under Windows 2003 Domain
control. Since the upgrade to Media Player 10 my users are inserting CD's to
play and they are being RIPPED into their Profiles/My Music and then copied
up to the Server unpon logout with their roaming ...

A program I have (Fritz9 chess) refuses to play it's own directory .avi
files and it gives a message saying install WMP9 when WMP11 is installed.
Is there any way to fix this apparent WMP version conflict as I would like
this chess program to show these .avi multimedia files.

When I upgraded my MB and CPU I can no longer play any protected content such
as movies.  I can play videos as long they are not licensed.  I used registry
repair software and I think this only made the issue worse.  Is there anyway
