I recently bought a used mac from a friend. He said that he doesn't know why but the desktop file WindowsMedia.sitx can not be moved, opened, or deleted. I would just like to delete it. I have already take Windows Media Player 9 off of the computer.

How can i deinstall WMP9 for Mac? Is it enough to put in the Wastebin? Deinstalling WMP 7.1 for Mac was a little bit more complicated... Thank you for your help!

There hasn't been an upgrade for WMP 9 in a long long time. The player works like garbage right now-choppy playback on almost all WMV Clips. Apparently Microsoft has no plans to make sure WMP works well on Macs. I still have no idea why people insist on creating clips using the ...
