Prior to reinstalling WMP recently, I was able to view and hear email
attachment wmv's.  Fragmented at best, but better than nothing.  Now I can
not open any of them.  A clear wmv document is displayed in the email
attachment window but when opened I receive a message ...

Hi I've download large wmv files (100-300 MB) from the web.  But says it
can't read the file, it's incorrect.  I've tried using 3ivx, divx doctor and
flip4mac.  I tried changing my preferances for doctor to read all files and

I recently bought a used mac from a friend.  He said that he doesn't know
why but the desktop file WindowsMedia.sitx can not be moved, opened, or
deleted.  I would just like to delete it.  I have already take Windows Media
Player 9 off of the computer.

How can i deinstall WMP9 for Mac?
Is it enough to put in the Wastebin?
Deinstalling WMP 7.1 for Mac was a little bit more complicated...

There hasn't been an upgrade for WMP 9 in a long long time. The player works
like garbage right now-choppy playback on almost all WMV Clips.
Apparently Microsoft has no plans to make sure WMP works well on Macs. I
