Windows Media 9 for Mac Quits on open. I use Mac OS X 10.4.2. I tried
every thing delete and reinstall. Delete and reboot then reinstall. But
it dose work under other user. But it just wont work under my user.
Please help!

I downloaded windows media player 9 for os x.  I unstuffed it and have the
install file.  While running the install it fails everytime saying "an
unexpected error occured while installing" and then it lists a file...each
time the fils listed is different and it tends to fail at ...

I recently purchased a powerbook G4, with tiger.  Updated the OS, loaded WMP
9 but can't get it to play asx streaming file.  I've tried the delete pref
files, typing the url with mms://  but no luck.  One funny thing is that I
could not locate the .plist file that I've read in ...

...and without reason. It hangs up without a reason. It doesn't respond
to commands without a reason. It doesn't provide you information about
the stream and the connection, without a reason. It doesn't support the
latest codecs that the Windows version supports. Real Player is

I am trying desperately to use video streaming to watch a live race
this sunday.  I have Mac Tiger OS X, have successfully (so I think)
downloaded the latest version of Media Player (and stuffitexpander02)
but when I try to use it, the window reads "connecting to media"

I use Firefox and was trying to open a video from yahoo.com, but it opened in
the yahoo window with Realplayer, which doesn't support asf files.  How do I
make WMP my default player, so the next time I click it will open with that
instead?
