Is there any third-party converter, for mac, that converts wmp to other
formats..? My media player is down and I need something to convert my
project files quickly. Thanks.

I would like to find a way to create highly compressed video files
that can be played both on Windows and on Mac.
So far I have been using with good results the DIVX codec.
Howwever today I downloaded from the Microsoft website

Hi, I really donno what have I done to get a message "WMV Player Trial
- Plays first half of the video" whenever i play wmv file in Mail, and
can only play the first half. But if i saved it and play it in Windows
Media Player, it has no problem at all. I am using WMP 9 and Tiger ...

I get this error message " The file name, directory name or volumn
label syntax is incorrect".  What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Very strange problem. G4, 10.4.2, WVP 9 plays the subject movie without
any problem. My mate's iMac, 10.3.9, WMP 9 (origianlly installed months
ago and reinstalled today) plays the movie silently. /Library/Internet
Plugins/ on both machines contains the Windows Media Plugin 9.0. QT

When playing some video files, (MPG), the status bar toward the bottom of the
player reaches the end before the video has completed playing. The audio
however continues, but the video freezes. What could be the problem?

Macintosh running OS 10.3.8  and Windows Media Player 9.  Many (but not all)
of downloads give an error message: "Cannot play back the file.  The file
format is invalid".  All files shows up with a perfectly good .wmv icon.  
Help, please.  I'm missing a lot of good stuff.

Is it possible to embed WMP in a C++ program written for Mac?  And if so, is
there an SDK for this somewhere on the Microsoft site?

It shows a windows media folder on my desk top but evertime I try to
open it all it does is open my itunes player. If any one can help me
install this thing I would love the help. Thank you.

I have Ibook G4. Whenever I download the media player installer it downloads
WindowMedia.stix whenever I click on it it says there is no default
application attached to the file. Which application should I select...

I have downloaded a few movie clips but when I try to play them I get

I am unable to play .wmv files that have digital rights management (DRM)
