WMP 9, OS 10.4.1, iMac G5.
WMP plays the sample file fine, but will not play .wmv and .asf files
that ran without problems on an iMac G4 with WMP 9.  Instead, WMP says
"The specified stream type is not recognized."

Cannot access the .wmv files in Tiger 10.4.1.  Any ideas why ITunes
opens? Thanks...

For some reason I have never had problems with my computer playing .wmv
files. But for some reason When ever I open a file now I get a a
message that says this file may not play corectly because it was
compressed with a codec that is not supported.  The things is I have

Any thoughts yet as to how to get multicast streaming working with WMP9
under Tiger?  We can open local files and standard HTTP unicast streams.
Multicast streams just time out on connection.

I'm using WMP10 and it's suddenly stopped playing AVI files - the picture is
fine, but there is no sound.

I haven't been able to install wmp 9 after downloading it after  I just
installed OS 10.4 Tiger.  

message states "Cannot open the file.  Verify that the path and file
name are correct and try again."  I am on tiger and trying to watch
cycling content from mediazone.com   They say they don't support mac.
Any tricks?

I listened to ESPN radio for months online and then started getting the
message "Cannot open the file. Verity that the path and filename are correct.
Try again." About once a month I can listen for a day or two and then it
returns to the error above. It happens with other feeds ...

I'm trying to uninstall Media Player 9 for OS 10.3.9 and i cannot delete the
media player folder, as it says "wmphelp.htm is locked". This problem also
makes it impossible for me to use the player or any additional downloads of
the player. I've tried a Finder search for wmphelp ...

I am looking for a way to this with WinMedia 9 OSX, in FireFox:
A) Get the status of the player (stopped, playing)
B) Get the current time of the player
C) Tell the player to move the playhead

When I download the WMP V9 for a Mac under OS10.3.9 it appears as a bin
file no problem and when decompressed as a Windows Media.stix file.
When this file Windows Media.stix file is opened the following message
appears:

I'm about to sign up for the mlb.tv package so I can watch games on my
computer. The demo video clips seem to play fine in the embedded media
viewer of the web browser, but I can't resize the window for a bigger
screen.

I have downloaded media play for mac..... in both formats and CANNOT
get it to open.
What program will open these files, for me to install?

I have a favorites list for Windows Media 9 (OS X) that I'd like to loop
while I surf the net,
however I can only get it to repeat the currently playing video file.
Is there any way I can get all my favorites to repeat?

I have installed TIGEr on my I book today. But i cant run my Windows Media
Player on it!
Can anyone tell me whats wrong and what i can do ???
