Can't open/download wmv files on the net using AOL, IE, Safari or Netscape. All I get is pages of codes. Has anyone got e a fix? BillW

I want to add WMP to my new G5 running OSX.3. I downloaded Windows Media.sitx, double clicked and got a message that said the file has been corupted or may not be a valid archive. When I select yes, I get a disk error (unexpected eof) and then a message that the file is damaged.

What will be the best encoding configuration for mac? I have a video and I want to encode to se ok in mac. Wich codec´s are best. Windows Media audio 9.1 and video 8 it´s OK, or is better another.

When I try to play videos on cmt.com or VH1 I get the following error message: WINDOWS MEDIA TEST Sorry, video is not supported for macintosh users at this time. It trys to load the player but then it doesn't and I get the message.

Can someone please explain to me why the JOINT COMBINATION of both Yahoo & Microsoft has made it IMPOSSIBLE for all Mac users to play ANY videos off the Yahoo website? Whether it's the sports, the movie trailers, the Apprentice videos, ANYTHING -- we can NOT play videos off
