I have troubles in viewing .wmv-files through Safari. When I open a wmv-file
directly in the browser, Windows Media application starts and buffer the
requested file. Is there possible to view it as a mpg-ile?

I need to see audio (like Quicktime does it) plus view 3 streams on one Mac.
Since a Windows box won't allow multiple sessions, the Mac fills in perfectly
by duplicating the app, except for visual audio. There are some Win skins
that do this but nothig for Mac?

Hi, I'm on an imac G5, Mac OS 10.3.7, and just downloaded WMP 9 for Mac. For
any .wmv files, it plays video, but no audio, even for the demo .wmv file
that comes with the download.
I get a message at the beginning that says "This file may not play correctly

That videos  can be seen only by windowsmedia player ... i have a MAC with
os X with windowsmedia 9 .this version version cant read this file . Is any
patch or a new version of windowsmedia?

When i download a WMP file, the player comes up with a picture of the PLAY
button and an error message reading:  "an error occurred".  Went to the FAQ's
where i read that WMV is not supported by Unix and that a Mac user needs to
use an "extended" hard drive, but did not provide ...

I uninstalled and reinstalled WMP, but it does'nt show the app icon. Instead
it shows the APPs folder icon in its place. how do I correct this so that I
can run it properly?

Does anyone know how to make Windows Media Player my default player instead
of Quick Time for my OS X.

I have quite a few WMA files (songs) and they can not be played in Itunes
only in Media Player. The only way I can play the songs is by choosing one
song at a time. As you can imagine, this can be quite anoying, so I therefore
tried making a playlist. Somehow I can't seem to ...

I've tried to install WMP 7.1 for Mac on My OS 9.2.2 for times.But ev'ry time
my iMac will freeze at the step of searching my HDD and 95 itmes left to be
installed.
My System is OS 9.2.2 (With Jaguar 10.2.8 installed)

When I go to NBC - The Tonight Show website (and others):

If I try to play any of the clips, I get error messages from Safari. The
first one is;  The page „NBC.com > Screening Room‰ has content of MIME ...

Does someone know if WMP works with Firefox 1.0 (under OS
10.3) ?

How Can I clear my recently viewd files in the menu bar? G5 with OSX

After reading other posts here I guess I'm luckier than some folks since at
least most .wmv files do play, but unless they are a very small frame size,
they play slow and jerkily, even straight off the hard drive.
For instance, I have a 8.4 MB .wmv video file on my hard drive with ...

anyone had any luck doing this?  When I use the 6.4 SDK's
advice for scripting for browers cross-compatibility, the
java applet fails to load and I get "applet appObs
notinited"
