Is there any Mac OS X App that can convert audio files (most likely MP3) to
WMA?

Media Player wont load and just bounces up & down in the dock...was
fine yesterday but this morning it has stopped...reinstalled it 3 times
for no luck...havn't installed anything else either...
Running a G4 with 10.3.6...any suggestions?

I have just installed Windows Media Player v. 9 for the Mac OS X. I was able
to play the sample video, but any other video I attempt to play just shows a
picture of an I-Pod with a flashing part of the screen. This is on every
video I attempt to play except the sample provided ...

I keep trying to install my download of Windows Media Player 7.1 in my
OS9.2.2 system. I get to tje install point and it freezes up every time. I'm
wondering if there's another way to install that might work a little better.

Apologies in advance for lack of techno-speak.
Downloaded version 7.1.  The webside I am trying to view has .wmv files and
when I click on them it just takes me to a page of gobbledygook instead of
opening the file with Windows Media.  It's like it hasn't even downloaded.  

im running mac os x 10.3.7 and just downed load Windows Media Player V.9 for
mac. when i open the WMV files, thre is a msg box saying"The hardware licence
for this content is inconsistent" what does it mean? i cant open those files

With WMP for windows it is possible to add support for an additional file
format, codec, etc. by writing a DirectShow filter that handles your data.  
Is this also possible on the Mac?  If so can someone point me towards some
development docs for WMP on the Mac?

Just wanted to let you know that this worked for me!
delete the WMP pref files:

I have subscribed to a site that gives me access to download videos,
but they are all in .wmv (DRM 1-protected) format. The site says that I
am able to view the downloaded files on my Mac as long as I have IE
5.2.3 and WMP 9. Per the workaround, I have changed the default browser
