When trying to play an embedded clip calling a ASX XML file, WM9 for OS X takes about 50 seconds before it will begin playback. If you put the URL directly into the WM9 player, it takes about 5 seconds. Even if I do not embed the clip, but still call the XML file, the player

three times now, I've gotten messages that I don't have the correct player software for on-line video -- clicked on the link to go to plug-in options -- been told that I need a newer WindowsMedia player -- downloaded the newest version (7.1.2.1203) for Mac OS 9 --

I'm testing a DRM licensing solution cross-platform. Unfortunately, once I've successfully delivered a license onto the Mac (OSX 10.3.5, WMP 9), I can't figure out how to delete or invalidate it to repeat testing!

I just upgraded from 7.3 to 9.0 for Mac. I'm on OS 10.3.5 Since I upgraded, when I try to listen to anything on NPR like Fresh Air, the player window opens immediately but "Connecting" time is like ten minutes or more before it starts playing. Sometimes it never starts

I've encountered the same problem with being able to use WMP 9 and have followed all the suggestions. Problem is I can't seem to find the prefs or plist files even when i do a search on my HD. any suggestions?

Have OSX 10.3.5, and latest WMV. It used to work and has now stopped with the icon bouncing for ever in the docking bay. Is there a clash with another bit of software perhaps?

Is there any WMP for the mac that will support Intelligent Streaming?? My problem is this: my favorite radio station switched to intelligent streaming--now I cannot listen to it at its highest rate 64K but always connect at 32K.

I'm trying to listen to a radio station that uses a webcast, streaming with WMP 9 on OS X. However, safari (and every other browser I've tried - Mozilla, IE, etc...) keeps saying, "Cannot open the file. Verify that the path and filename are correct and try again." Any thoughts?
