We use a lot of pages with Win Media Player embedded to show streamed
wmv files. On Mac OS9 they used to work fine. But now when I open them
in IE 5.2, Mac OSX with WMP 9, Win Media Player opens externally as
well as inside the page, so we have two players showing the stream.

We were overjoyed when we found out that you can simply drag a folder of
mp3s into your WM server and that it will automatically stream out the files.
Unfortunately, it's not working on the mac. The latest mac version (9.0.0
(3307) ) gives an error "The playlist format is ...

i have windows media player 7.1 for the mac 0s9.1 but am unable to play wmv
file. when the file opens in media player all i get is sound no images can
anyone help

I am encoding a movie using mpeg-1 layer 11 for audio and mpeg-1 for
video - the file suffix is .mpg - but i can't play it back using the wmp
version 9 that i have downloaded - why?  Also if i want to create an avi file
playable on both mac and pc platforms (downloaded file)

Is Digital Rights Management supported in Mediaplayer ) for Macintosh?

Sorry, I'm not that computer literate so be gentle.  I'm using Mac 9.1 (had
big problems with OSX and my ISP so reverted back).   I've downloaded
Windows Media Player 7.1. using the Internet Explorer 5 browser.  I look in
the plugins file and do not see one for Windows Media should ...

I have a live web cam broadcast on Playstream that can be received on an
embedded activex windows media control on an IE6 browser.  This works fine
for my PC clients, but not for macs.
What is the best way of streaming live WMVs to a mac?  Is there an embedded

How do I open the sitx file in order to install the windows
media player?  I downloaded version 9 for my OS X machine.
I don't have a former version... is that the problem?

i downloaded a paid wmv format movie from the web then when i tried
to open it
with win media player, i got a message that i need to upgrade the
player version which is compatible to Windows Media Right 7. whats

I can´t open files wav en Windows Media.  ¿Why?

Does anyone have any information on Microsoft releaseing
an updated Series 9 or 10 player for Mac that supports
DRM 7?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded and extracted the WMP9 installer fine but when
I open it up and the Installer VISE app opens up it
invaribly freezes. I've given it a few minutes and
generally I have to force quit out of it, it does nothing.

After downloading
WMP is on my desktop
with an empty Icon
named 'Windows Media.
